Nashita provides semi-dedicated VSAT Satellite Internet services in partnership with Tachyon Networks Incorporated, the first reliable, high-speed, carrier-grade broadband network for Commercial Enterprises and Government Agencies.

What is a semi-dedicated service?

On traditional shared services all the users fight for the overall available bandwidth and for instance, even though the customer has subscribed to a 2048/512 service, they are almost never able to reach the full bandwidth speed. Sure, they have unlimited traffic, but the performance of the link is much lower than what Tachyon offers. In other words, the customer is paying for a bandwidth service which in most cases is never able to reach.

Tachyon on the other hand offers services which are tailored to the customer’s requirements. For instance, if a customer orders a 2048/512 link with an MVG of 10GB per month, then in the majority of the time, he can expect to receive the full bandwidth as long as he is within his MVG.

By adding an intelligent QoS, Tachyon can offer a service that performs extremely well, even if there are heavy users "hogging" bandwidth. This QoS feature really sets Tachyon apart from the majority of the shared VSAT services on the market today and enables Tachyon to offer a service priced like a shared service, but offers a performance close to a dedicated service.
